Poshaak Occasions was born in the summer of 2021, as the world emerged from the quiet of the COVID-19 lockdown and life began returning to normal. The idea sparked when our founder, Zain, decorated his family home with wedding lights in preparation for his older brother’s wedding. The beautifully lit house quickly caught the attention of passersby, many of whom stopped to ask which company had done the lighting — not knowing it was Zain himself.

Encouraged by the overwhelming response and using his own home as a successful test run, Zain launched Poshaak Occasions, drawing inspiration from his family’s long-standing bridal boutique, Poshaak, which has proudly served the wedding industry for over 50 years.

What began as a small lighting rental business quickly grew through word-of-mouth and consistently glowing customer feedback. Clients were consistently impressed by the quality of the lights, the attention to detail, and the professionalism with which every job was handled. With 100% customer satisfaction, Poshaak Occasions gained a reputation as a brand that people could trust for their most special moments.

Innovation with Purpose

After three years of transforming homes for wedding celebrations, Zain recognized a recurring challenge — customers often struggled to choose a light color they were fully happy with. Wanting to simplify the process and provide more flexibility, he spent months designing and developing a brand-new lighting system that allowed customers to fully customize color and settings, all with ease. This innovation gave couples one less thing to worry about during their wedding planning and elevated the overall experience.

To showcase this new technology, Zain once again used his home as the stage. The custom lighting display didn’t just turn heads — it opened doors. Local wedding venues were captivated and began reaching out for permanent installations that could bring the same magic to their own spaces.

Transforming Venues, Creating Experiences

One of the first venues to partner with Poshaak Occasions was The Ivy Venue. Its owner wanted to transform the space from a plain commercial hall into a venue that truly captured the essence of a wedding celebration. Poshaak Occasions completely redesigned the interior lighting to create a warm, enchanting atmosphere that left guests in awe. The transformation didn’t stop there — the exterior was also enhanced to match the interior elegance, giving guests an unforgettable experience from the moment they arrived.

Another proud project was The Grand Venue in Blackburn. The owner had long searched for a company that could elevate his building’s look, but nothing met his standards — until he drove past Zain’s home. Impressed by the stunning lighting, he reached out immediately. Within days, Poshaak Occasions had transformed the exterior of The Grand Venue from an ordinary industrial space into a majestic wedding destination.
